We’re up at the cabin for the Thanksgiving weekend, and it’s been pouring rain since we arrived. We haven’t really minded, however, since we had a huge amount of grading to finish, which we finally finished and posted online this (Sunday) morning.

We started our two free days with a purge of the garden (see earlier post), and then relaxed with a drink on the deck…

We then spent the afternoon processing the harvest!

We also made a kind of amazing vegan Thanksgiving dinner–Vegan Shepherd’s Pie, Roasted Acorn Squash, and freshly Jamie-made baguettes:

Oh, and we were listening to Van Morrison all day.

Jeez….”Coney Island” is such a great song. I remember the first time I heard it back in 1989 when Em was a tiny baby. I’d sing her every song from Avalon Sunset, and we loved “Coney Island”
